Julie Staggs, EdD, MBA, ACC, Managing Principal

As the Managing Principal for Beyond Theory to Practice, Dr. Staggs works with organizations to define and implement strategy, DEI initiatives, leadership development strategies, coaching, and programs across the organization from vital many to senior executives. Previously, she consulted for Fortune 100 companies and top Universities during her work as a client partner for Korn Ferry Advisory. Her consulting at Corporate Executive Board focused on innovation and strategic partnering in addition to teaching in the Corporate Leadership Council’s (CLC) Leadership Academies.

 

Senior executive and high potential assessment and coaching has been a key component of her work helping organizations deliver on their strategic goals through their individual talent. Her coaching has helped organizations and individuals through change initiatives and to deliver superior and sustained business outcomes. Dr. Staggs’ combination of higher education, non-profit, and corporate experience provides a broad perspective for each project. These combined areas of expertise enable her to develop and deliver differentiating solutions for organizations. She is certified in a variety of assessment tools and often trains leaders in a variety of useful models and tools


Earlier in Dr. Staggs’ career she worked with Adecco as a placement specialist in Washington, DC, with a focus on placing recent college graduates.  She currently is an adjunct faculty member at the Terry College of Business at UGA. Her work has included partnering with various universities and organizations in strategic planning; culture/org design; competency modeling; inclusion strategy; leadership development programs; assessments; new program planning, development, and launch; marketing strategy; and evaluation. She has directed all project phases, including research, planning, hiring, training, implementation, and evaluation.

 

Dr. Staggs received her bachelor’s degree from Converse College in music theory and religion, her executive master’s of business administration degree, with a concentration in leadership, from University of Georgia, graduate certificate in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and  her doctorate of education in higher education management and leadership at the University of Georgia’s Institute for Higher Education. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Converse College, the Board for LEADership, Business and Development (LEAD), and as chairwoman for both the Board for National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Board for Global Health Action.
